Case Study:
Ragdale Hall Spa
Challenge:
The moat at Ragdale Hall Spa was overgrown with reeds. Due to the reeds being present for many years the root system along with silt had taken up almost 1 meter of the water column which was drastically reducing water depths.

The above not only looked unsightly at the front of the building, the water body had seen a reduction in wildlife within the moat also.

Solution:
We spent 2 days at Ragdale Hall Spa utilising the Truxor amphibious machine with the clamshell. Due to space being limited along the bank the material was moved using a small digger and dumper to a separate location next to the moat to allow the vegetation to drain.

The removed vegetation was then taken off site to a local green waste recycling facility which was all undertaken in house.

Results:
The moat now remains clear, with an increased water depth of over 1 meter. This helps to improve the aesthetics of the surrounding area and will also improve biodiversity by creating new habitats.
