Case Study:
Domestic Client - London
The Challenge:
Simply Aquatic were approached to undertake works within this retention pond. This waterbody had seen an invasion of mainly Bulrush which had seriously restricted the capacity of the pond. These works formed part of a plan for flood mitigation, as the local area had suffered for many years.

Our Solution:
After many months of planning, a final decision was made to use a low ground pressure excavator within the water to grub out the reeds. Positioned on the bank was a long reach excavator and large tracked dumper to move the material.

The Results:
By the end of the project, the majority of the reeds had been removed leaving small spits for habitat. The bed of the pond had been deepened to help hold a greater capacity of water.
