Case Study:
Commercial Client
The Challenge:
The lake at this business premises was covered with overgrown Phragmites, no maintenance had been undertaken in 3 years. Due to the lack of maintenance this promoted the spread of reeds within the clients lake. The clients desire was to improve biodiversity within the lake while opening up sections for visual viewing of staff wellbeing.
Our Solution:
To address this challenge we used our specialised Truxor Amphibious machine, this innovative equipment enabled us to quickly and effectively remove sections of Phragmites and thin back areas removing the root system. Sections of clumps and marginal reeds remain to help increase habitat and biodiversity.
The Results:
The above helped to open a section of the lake to achieve clear deeper open water, with a reduction in reeds this area is no longer crowded and offers various habitat covers for nesting birds etc.
